Alzheimer's Support Group

WHERE: Karesh Long-Term Care Center, 1315 Roberts Street, Camden
Are you a caregiver or family member of someone with Alzheimer's? Join us on the first Monday of every month, at 6:00pm, to gain support from others who are also on this challenging journey. For more information contact Loretta Wrigley at 803-713-6076 or 803-713-6249.

Cancer Support Group

WHERE: Health Resource Center
Are you currently in treatment or have you completed your treatment? Or maybe you are a family member or caregiver of someone with cancer? Information, support and understanding are all shared in an informal setting. This group meets the third Thursday of each month, 6:00-7:30pm.

Caregivers Support Group

WHERE: Health Resource Center
This group meets to discuss the issues facing caregivers and to share both resources and ideas. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00am.

Diabetes Support Group

WHERE: Health Resource Center
Learn how to live better with diabetes. This group is facilitated by KershawHealth’s Certified Diabetes Educator. Meetings are held the third Monday of each month, at 6:30 pm.

National Federation of the Blind

WHERE: Health Resource Center
The National Federation of the Blind of Greater Camden offers fellowship and strategies for coping with the obstacles of blindness. Participants also enjoy opportunities to educate the public about blindness. For information call 803-408-9805.

Sickle Cell Anemia Support Group

WHERE: Health Resource Center
This group meets to discuss proper nutrition, health education, exercise and more for people with sickle cell anemia and their families. Call 803-765-9916 for more details.

Stepping Stones Support Group

WHERE: Health Resource Center
Stepping Stones is a networking group of bereaved persons who provide understanding and emotional support to each other. The group is facilitated by professional social workers who also provide practical information regarding grief and loss resources in Kershaw County.  Participation is on a drop-in basis the third Monday of each month at the Health Resource Center on Battleship Road in Camden between 10:00 and 11:00 AM.  There is no fee.  Families from the community-at-large are welcome as well as those whose family members are KershawHealth Hospice patients.  For more information about Stepping Stones and the availability of individual counseling, call Becky Baird at  803-713-1613.
