2011 Hospital Auxiliary Golf Tournament

The Hospital Auxiliary of KershawHealthwill host its 22nd annual golf tournament on Friday, September 16 at White Pines Golf Course in Camden. Entry fee for the captain’s choice tournament is $50 per person or $200 for a four-person team. Fees include cart, greens fee, mulligan and souvenir.

Proceeds from the tournament and other Auxiliary projects are used to assist KershawHealth to provide equipment not included in the general operating budget, as well to provide need-based scholarships for area students pursuing careers in healthcare. Currently, more than twenty local students studying in health-related fields are receiving scholarship assistance from the Auxiliary.

In the past, the Auxiliary has assisted with the purchase of sentinel node biopsy equipment for the early detection of breast cancer, as well as new furniture for the Karesh Wing visitor’s room, a fountain on the Karesh garden patio, new furnishings for the EMT lounge, and renovations to the KershawHealth Oncology Department.

The first-place team will receive an award of $500. Each member of the second-place team will be awarded $60, with $35 going to each of the third-place finishers. Those coming closest to the pin on each par 3 hole will receive $25. And finally, a longest drive prize of $25 each will be awarded in both male and female categories.

Breakfast will be available to early birds and refreshments will be provided throughout the day in the club house. A beverage cart will roam the course during the day.
