Are you coming as an outpatient?

It’s very likely that at some point you or someone in your family will come to the KershawHealth as an outpatient, either at the Medical Center in Camden or the West Wateree Medical Complex in Lugoff. It might be for a diagnostic procedure such as a mammogram, a colonoscopy, or a blood test. Or it might be for our capacity to offer minimally invasive surgical techniques where surgeons use lasers to correct ear, nose, throat and even eye problems. Or it might be for physical therapy or to take advantage of our diabetes education program.

Whatever the reason, we want to be sure you have a very good experience at KershawHealth. And that starts with letting you know exactly where to come, what to being with you and what to expect.

KershawHealth Medical Center in Camden

The Medical Center is located on Haile Street in Camden. When you enter from Haile Street, look for the building entrance on the right, marked “Outpatient” and “Emergency.” Coming through this entrance, you’ll find a check-in desk directly in front of you. Stop here to let us know you’ve arrived, and then turn left into the registration waiting room. Shortly someone will come get you to speed you through the registration process and give you directions to exactly where you need to go in the Medical Center.

KershawHealth West Wateree Medical Complex in Lugoff 

Our medical complex in Lugoff is located 1165 Highway 1 South, just on the Camden side on Lugoff-Elgin High School and Middle School. When you arrive, enter through the main door in the middle of the building. Stop at the check-in desk where you’ll be directed to registration.

What to bring with you 

When you come as an outpatient, it’s always important to bring the following with you: your physician’s referral form or order, your insurance information, a list of all your medicines, and photo identification. You may be asked several times by different people for your name, date of birth and social security number. This is just to make sure we know exactly who you are and what you’ve come to Kershaw Health for.
