Our Care

Through KershawHealth’s Home Health Care Services, we help those who need home based, professional healthcare services on a part-time or intermittent basis. Many contact us for professional care at home following a hospital, rehabilitation or nursing center stay. Others want the support of professional staff working directly with their own physician, without the expense of a lengthy stay in an inpatient facility. Still others seek home healthcare as a way to develop or improve the skills they need to continue independently living at home.

Our Team

As part of the KershawHealth healthcare system, our caregivers are always here, close by, ready to help you and your family. We work with your doctor to ensure that you receive the right care, at the right time, where you’re most comfortable.

Our registered nurses are available 24/7. They perform a wide variety of medical services, just as they would in a hospital setting. Managing medications (including IV medications), treating wounds, and educating patients and families, they are the cornerstone of our care.

Our team of certified therapists carries rehabilitation programs directly into your home. Physical therapists help increase patients’ strength, stamina and flexibility. Speech therapists help patients regain the ability to speak and swallow properly after a stroke, injury or illness. And, our occupational therapists help patients regain their ability to perform the daily tasks of independent living. Our registered dieticians help patients and families develop eating habits that assist in healing, work in cooperation with medications, and enhance overall well-being.

Our home health aides help patients bathe, take care of their skin and perform simple exercises. Our social workers provide counseling, improve the home environment and provide information on community resources.

If you have a need for skilled home-based care, our Home Health Care Services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, VA and most private insurance. A physician’s referral is required for our care.
