People Served by Hospice

Many people think Hospice is just for cancer patients near the end of life. However, it's much more. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, talk to your physician about Hospice care or give us a call. It can make all the difference.

Hospice serves people who:

  • Have been diagnosed with terminal illness.
  • Have a prognosis of six months or less life expectancy.
  • Live in Kershaw, Lee, Lancaster orĀ surrounding counties.
  • Choose to be cared for at home or meet the requirements for inpatient Hospice.
  • Have a physician who will supervise their care and work with the Hospice team.
  • Have family or friends to assist with their care.
  • Understand that Hospice focuses on patient comfort and symptom control, rather than the cure of the illness.
