Imaging

Imaging is at the very heart of KershawHealth’s ability to help physicians in our area diagnose disease. Early, accurate diagnosis can often make a critical difference in the treatment of many serious illnesses.

KershawHealth provides state of the art imaging services including Digital Radiography, Computed Radiography, Digital Mammography, 64 & 16 Slice CT Scanning, High-Field Open MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and Bone Densitometry. We recently became the second hospital in South Carolina to acquire the Siemens MAGNETOM Aera MRI - the most advanced wide-bore MRI available. Additionally, we have been named a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

Imaging services are offered at the Medical Center in Camden, at the West Wateree Medical Complex in Lugoff, and at the Elgin Outpatient Center. Consult your physician about which location is most convenient for you.

When you come for your imaging appointment, it is absolutely necessary that you bring your physician’s order with you. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for registration. And even if you have pre-registered, you will still need to sign in at Registration before proceeding to Imaging.

Digital Mammography is available both at the Medical Center in Camden, and at the Elgin Outpatient Center. If you do not have an order from a physician for mammography, you may still be able to schedule one. Call radiology for more information about self referral.

If your physician has asked that you bring a copy of your x-ray or other imaging results with you to your next appointment, please inform KershawHealth Imaging at least 24 hours in advance to avoid having to wait.
